Mary Jean Tapp-McCarthy, AIA, LEED Green Assoc., Forensic Architect, has over 14 years experience as an Architect overseeing projects in commercial and residential design. She holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design and is a licensed Architect in the State of Colorado. Mary Jean is also a LEED Green accredited professional. She has experience with all phases of design, from programming and site planning through design development, construction documents and construction administration. She has designed and managed a wide variety of project types including office, medical, retail, warehouse, multifamily and residential. She has experience designing and detailing buildings constructed with a variety of materials including masonry, steel, EIFS, wood and concrete. In addition to her design experience, Mary Jean performs building envelope observations, including evaluations of EIFS, stucco, stone veneer, natural stone, brick, hardboard siding, sealants, moisture-management and windows. She also served for two years on the Thornton Zoning Board of Appeals.
